Villa Budapest

A visionary concept in an historic building in Budapest, the Villa was a labour of love for the owner, who appointed Construct to create the brand positioning, identity and communications. Construct also took a guiding role in establishing the project team, Tadao Ando providing interior architecture, Studioilse interior design and Ron Arad site-specific installations.

The Villa is an historic cultural and gastronomic venue in Budapest. It sits at the heart of the city’s World Heritage site, and boasts striking interventions by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Construct’s responsibility for brand positioning has involved the studio in the project on a number of levels, from advising on naming, service, personality and content to the overall aesthetic, which reflects the Villa's unique combination of ancient history, 19th century refinement and 21st century innovation. The Villa logotype plays with the concept of time, and this wit is balanced with a cool, refined palette, with specific attention paid to tactility and material quality, from embossed inks to a specially double-bound brand book.
